The Americano - This green screen composite sequence was shot on HDV for Big Gulps Films "The Americano" and composited into the final film in After Effects CS3.
"We had an interesting proposition in the script of The Americano; an opera singer appears to come out from the dashboard of the car and sings to our main character whilst he is being strangled. The image required was meant to heighten the throws of death by highlighting the character losing consciousness. I was looking for something a bit trippy. A bit off the wall and at the same time redemptive. A bit of a tall ask, I know.
I spent many hours with Federated Films working through this problem and the final solution completely blew me away. It's exactly what we are looking for and I'm so pleased the laborious attention to detail through every stage has paid off"
